Board Advisor

Abboud is an active participant in private equity, angel investing and start-up financing individually and in his capacity as Secretary and Board Member of the New World Angels, an organization of Florida-based investors.

Previously, Abboud was involved with an internet securities company in San Francisco and served as a Marketing Manager for a company in the high-tech consumer electronics industry.

Board Member

Glascock is presently an Advisor at Cresa Partner, an international corporate real estate advisory firm. Before joining Cresa Partners, he was a Partner at TAGRE, a real estate development and advisory firm specializing in assisting a wide range of clients in maximizing the business and profit potential of their real estate developments and portfolios.

Prior to TAGRE, Glascock was a Senior Managing Director for Strategic Planning and Business for Latin America at Cushman & Wakefield's Miami Office. During his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, Glascock developed a comprehensive segmentation analysis and strategic growth plan for the Latin American region and provided real estate advisory services for key global clients.

Co-Founder

Karabees has spent the past 25 years establishing early-stage equity and successfully executing high-growth sales, marketing and operational plans for early-stage and mid-market healthcare technology companies.

Karabees is currently the Senior Vice President of Consult A Doctor, a healthcare technology company based in Miami Beach, FL, specializing in Enterprise TeleHealth and TeleMedicine. He previously held the title of Principal and Managing Director of Corporate Finance with CP Capital Securities, a technology and healthcare-oriented investment banking firm.

Karabees served honorably in the United States Air Force, is a contributor to and Board Member of both the Americas Venture Capital Conference and the Enterprise Development Corporation of Florida.

Co-Founder

O'Keefe has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and corporate financing transactions representing both issuers and investors.

Previously, he served as general counsel of a privately held company which he sold to a hedge fund in 2006 and has since been investing in and mentoring early stage companies in South Florida.

Board Member

Musgrove held several product development and management positions in Europe and Canada for Symantec Corporation.

He was responsible for Symantec's WinFax software series that, under his direction, was recognized with 16 awards, including Computer Currents' Reader's Choice and Windows magazine's WinList awards.

Under his leadership as Vice President of Market Development at Venali, Inc., a global messaging company, Venali won several awards including an InfoWorld Excellence Award.

Board Member

Prior to founding Hostopia in 1999, Nemanic had a successful sales career spanning 10 years in a variety of different companies and industries including Parametric Technology Corp., Tandberg Inc., ADP Claims Solutions Group, and others. In addition, he won many sales awards including President's Club with ADP.

Nemanic is a Member-Investor with the New World Angels, a Strategic Board Mentor with Incubate Miami, and volunteers his time as a member of the Executive Board of MIT Enterprise Forum for South Florida. As a consultant, he has advised numerous startups on how to raise capital and better structure their Marketing and Sales efforts.

During his tenure with The Walt Disney Company he launched operations in multiple countries, was a Zone VP and GM, and headed a Latin American SBU.

He is a creative thinker, an angel investor and syndicator of projects. He has held a number of board positions, including Ogangi Corp., Consult A Doctor, NIP/The Winner's Circle and New World Angels.

Miami Innovation Fund considers applicants that fulfill the following criteria:

• Company's products or services are in a large and growing market.
• There are defensible barriers to entry for competitors.
• Founders have deep, relevant industry or application experience. ( An understanding of industry standard terms etc.)
• The technologies, products or services are web-based, web-deployable or mobile deployable. (Hardware and software).
• Company is in one of these industry spaces: Mobile, Social, Web, Search, Gaming, SaaS (Bio-Technology is excluded).
• With up to $20,000 a team of 1 to 3 (founders) can further the idea presented to alpha-release or prototype in 6 months or less.
